Dr. Stokes as Family Man

With all the roles he plays, for Dr. Stokes the most important one is as a family man.

            “ I believe God is more concerned with who I am as a husband and father and grandfather than he is with who I am as a dean, professor or pastor. The success one has outside the home is meaningless if the home is empty or harmful”

Dr. Stokes has been married for almost 40 years to his amazingly patient wife Linda. They have two adult children and five wonderful grandchildren.

            “I am the third Bruce Stokes in my family. My grandfather died when my dad was seventeen. My dad died when I was seventeen. I am the first in three generations to see a son grow up, marry and have children. What a blessing of God to see my faith in the generations that follow me”

The combination of all his roles and opportunities are connected to his role as a family man. And his ministry and teaching comes out of that foundation.
